2003 Nissan Altima
After a major redesign in 2002, the 2003 Nissan Altima was introduced with few
changes. Changes are concentrated on improving the interior trim. Other changes
include new option packages for the 3.5SE model. It still have the same 4 cylinder
and V6 engines, but an added 5 horsepower improves the performance of the V6 engine.
The additional 5 horsepower for the V6 engine made the already superior 3.5SE
more powerful and faster. With the additional horsepower, the 3.5SE has now become
a sports sedan. All models still come with either a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed
manual transmission, except for the 2.5SE that comes only with the 4-speed automatic
transmission.
Much of the new changes were made to the 3.5SE option packages. The Leather Package
provides the SE with leather upholstery and automatic climate control while the
Premium Leather Package provides it with a woodgrain interior trim. The Sport
Package gives the SE a sporty look with its rear spoiler and power sunroof. The
new Leather Sport Package adds xenon lights to the standard packages.
